This safari gives a traveller a great insight into Kenya's diverse landscapes. First destination is Samburu home to large herds of elephants, elusive leopards and Gerenuks then to L. Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu
Pick up from your hotel 7.30 am and depart for the dramatic semi-arid scrub land of the Northern frontier. Arrive in Samburu time for lunch, after lunch proceed for afternoon game drive to sight resident wildlife like the reticulated Giraffe, Gravy's zebra,Beisa Oryx and the blue necked Somalia ostrich. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Shaba or similar
Day 2: Samburu
Morning and afternoon game drives in search of wildlife and birds in wild beauty of Samburu land. The uniqueness of this park is that it's located in a semi arid region of Kenya and it has unique species. Have optional visits to Samburu villages for cultural experience. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Treetops
Breakfast at the Lodge and drive to the shoulders of mt Kenya arriving at the out span Golf and country club for lunch. After lunch transfer by lodge vehicle to the treetops lodge where from the balcony you can have a wonderful view of game that often visit the floodlit waterhole and saltlick animals seen here include the elephants,buffalo,rhinos and the giant forest hog. Dinner and overnight at treetops lodge.
Day 4: Treetops- Lake Nakuru National park
Depart treetops lodge for breakfast at the out span Golf and country club and leave for Nakuru via Thomson falls arriving in time for lunch, have afternoon game drive where you will have the opportunity to spot leopards, white rhinos and the pink flamingos. Dinner and overnight at the hotel/lodge
Day 5: Lake Nakuru-Lake Naivasha
Breakfast and depart for Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley. Lake Naivasha in the necklace of Rift Valley Lake, has a variety of bird species and hippo colonies. Lunch, Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa resort or similar.
Day 6: Lake Naivasha-Masai Mara
Morning game viewing at Lake Naivasha, a rhino sanctuary and a bird watchers paradise as you leave the park. Breakfast at the lodge and depart for Masai Mara crossing the Loita plains. Arrive in Masai Mara time for lunch. Proceed for afternoon game drive after lunch. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp
Day 7: Masai Mara
Breakfast then proceed to the park for a full day game drive, Explore this amazing park, famous for its big five and the spectacular wildebeest migration. In the evening have an optional visit to the Maasai village to experience their culture and traditional dances. Dinner at the camp/Lodge
Day 8: Masai Mara-Nairobi
Morning game drive this is the best time to search for wildlife since they are most active during this time of the day. Late breakfast then depart for Nairobi with Lunch en route arriving in Nairobi late in the afternoon.
